Edavaka Mission

“Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” Romans 10:17

The Mar Thoma Voluntary Evangelists’ Association (MTVEA) was officially established in 1924, inspired by the vision of the late Metropolitan Abraham Mar Thoma, who firmly believed that “Every Marthomite is a voluntary evangelist.”

This vision calls every member of the Church to be a missionary—joyful, assured in salvation, and ready to bear witness to Christ in everyday life, regardless of one’s secular profession. The Edavaka Mission works closely with the laity to nurture spiritual growth among church members and to extend the Church’s outreach to the wider community, promoting strong Christian values and ethos.

The Parish Edavaka Mission, affiliated with MTVEA, carries out its ministry in alignment with the Association’s seven core activities: Intercessory Prayer, Bible Study, Witnessing and Sharing, House Visits, Charity Projects, Prayer Meetings, and Gospel work among non‑Christians.

In pursuit of these objectives, the Edavaka Mission organizes and supports a wide range of spiritual and service‑oriented activities within the parish and beyond.
